1.
You need a domino to get out of a rut Pullin' teeth can be so tough But I think you'll feel better Now here comes a know-it-all Another fly stuck in a glass The other side he cannot have So he never considers it You keep diggin' in your diamond heels Instead of chipping at the crack But there's a jack knife silhouette At the edge of your vision Doesn't it feel so nice To not think about a thing To float softly through a dream Take it all if you want Put it in your beautiful backyard But like the flash before the heat Here comes the domino Here comes the domino You have way too much And it's spilling off your plate A meal you did not help make But you take all the credit Now there's a thick white haze A panic driven doom But there's a black box in the room No one bothers to open Go on, why don't you open it And see what's on the inside 'Cause in the end it's just too nice To not think about a thing To float softly through a dream
2.
Dodging the gaze of the palisades Way beyond the bottom line Brushing it off, keep it easy To make believe this is a gentle tide They've been jacking up the price of sand Right before the rise Smiling as we sink into the slime But they will take the backdoor just in time Betting on a rouge wave to arrive Still, something else is watching from the edges just outside The Face is growing Let it grow Hesitate away the chance See the window coming down like a lid They drape a heavy cloth around the cage To tame the misbehaving swift Into a fear-laced, wide-eyed lifter of the hands Another dazzled by the grifters in command But doubled-down, the blood begins to rise The chin, the cheek, the tongue, the teeth, the eyes Filling up the room, it multiplies And the Face is growing The Face is growing
